delayed sleep phase syndrome

delayed sleep phase syndrome

A lot of people call themselves insomniacs when in fact they have a circadian rhythm "disorder." Actually having one myself I feel it's more a difference than a deficit but you know.. first they have to know about you before you can force political correctness on them..  Delayed sleepers are people whose rhythm is naturally later. (usually onset at adolescence when everyone's internal clock goes through a temporary shift)  We are capable of getting enough sleep- just so long as no one wakes us up to call us lazy. I wish that didn't happen as often as it does.

So it being 1:12 and i'm probably just starting my night I wanted to dedicate the blog to D.S.P.S.  Anyone who shares the night with me, please feel free to chime in and, no, i'm not trying to insult or steal thunder from actual insomniacs, just want to draw attention to the fact that not all who are night owls want to change.. A day when I wake up before 12PM is never a good day.  Ciao!
